One day, as river flowed, it began a conversation with rock.
“Rock”, stated river, “why do you stay constant while everything around you changes? The seasons change, trees grow and die, but every time we meet you are always the same?”
“River”, answered rock, “you are not observant, but you were involved in my evolution. Every moment you ran over me was I changing, slowly smoothing into beautiful stones and sands, and then eventually into soil. With your water and my minerals, did we not create the foundation for life? Also, have we not etched into me a path to the ocean for you to flow? For once you as well were scattered and not evolved...”
Before the conversation could finish, river was gone, flowing down the banks of rock.
